I helped to create and execute the vision for Dharma Ocean’s digital offerings, which includes online courses, live streams, a teaching library, podcasts, and other products. Focused on User Experience, Product Design, and Web application development.
In a team lead role, I provided UX and Web engineering expertise to bring enterprise-wide improvements to web presence, including user experience, information architecture, code refactoring, and development workflows.
Part of a small team supporting many websites and web applications, I assumed a lead role on projects related to Content Management Systems and Information Architecture.
I worked with teams of Category Experts, Writers, Scientists, and Software Engineers, to design user-friendly websites and web applications.
I worked with a NOAA funded multi-disciplinary team to design and develop several web sites and applications, including a prototype for a mobile Sea Ice Watch application.
I designed and developed a web site for Libre, and a suite of web applications for sharing scientific data within the polar research community.
I designed and developed a web site for ELOKA that communicated the strong community-based ethos of this network for local observations of climate change.
I was responsible for web site maintenance and coding all new content at Naropa University, and introduced the use of Content Management with Dreamweaver Contribute.
I was responsible for maintaining the main Columbia University web site, coding new content, and also developed a number of smaller web sites.
In addition to my full-time work, I’ve also helped a number of small businesses with website design and development.
