Columbia University

I performed code maintenance and development for the main Columbia University web site and many sub-sites.
We used W3C compliant XHTML/CSS for a new AcIS R+D web site way back in 1999.
I did HTML markup and other coding for several course modules for Columbia Interactive.

Columbia University is a top-tier institution of higher education in New York City. Its graduate schools for Business and Journalism are consistently ranked among the top five in the United States.

I helped to maintain and develop the main Columbia University web site, and also a number of smaller web sites. I was mentored by the Senior Information Architect, learned User-Centered Design principles and practices on the job, and grew from a mere HTML Coder into a Web Designer.

I was part of a small technical group that designed and developed attractive and usable digital products. I worked on everything from interactive online courses to new web site templates affecting thousands of pages.
