I’ve guided teams through strategy, design, and implementation for everything from interactive online courses and art galleries to data search and visualization applications.
For NCAR/UCAR, I provided UX leadership, responsible for enterprise-wide improvements to their web presence including UX and information architecture.
At UNAVCO, I had a Web/UX Lead role for one project, worked on the enterprise Information Architecture, and took a lead role in Content Auditing & Migration efforts.
I worked with teams of Category Experts, Writers, Scientists, and Engineers, to design NSIDC’s web site, sub-sites, and web applications.
I worked with a NOAA funded multi-disciplinary team to design and develop several web sites and applications, including a prototype for a mobile Sea Ice Watch application.
I designed and developed a web site for Libre, and a suite of web applications for sharing scientific data within the polar research community.
I designed and developed a web site for ELOKA that communicated the strong community-based ethos of this network for local observations of climate change.
I was responsible for web site maintenance and coding all new content at Naropa University, and introduced the use of Content Management with Dreamweaver Contribute.
I was responsible for maintaining the main Columbia University web site, coding new content, and also developed a number of smaller web sites.
In addition to my full-time work, I’ve done a number of freelance projects for small companies who needed professional quality XHTML/CSS.
